The Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities (MHHD) internship opportunities support the goal of building the capacity of the public health workforce to advance health equity. MHHD is committed to providing interns with a meaningful learning experience.
An internship typically runs for three-months with a minimum of 10 hours performed per week. Interns work on projects related to their subject area and assist on other projects as they arise. Recent intern projects have included: grant management for the Minority Outreach and Technical Assistance (MOTA) project, planning for the Health Equity Conference, planning for COVID-19 vaccine distribution, assisting with a grant writing training series, and updating the Office’s data chartbook.

Additional Information
Applicants should be prepared to be hybrid for the duration of their internship. More information will be shared as it becomes available.
Even if the office is primarily teleworking, new interns will be required to come to the office 2-3 times at the beginning of the internship to register for a State ID and computer access.
