Program Purpose & Goal:

Our Mission is to provide services and support to pregnant women and children birth to 3 years of age by providing education, resources, and opportunities that nurture children, empower parents, and strengthen families so they may become self-sufficient members of their community.

Program Eligibility Criteria:

  • Early Head Start is a federally funded, income based program; most families must meet Federal Poverty income guidelines
  • Must be a resident of Talbot County
  • Be an expectant parent or parenting a child under 3 years of age


Services Offered/Provided:

  • Early Childhood Development program
  • Opportunities for children with disabilities
  • Home Visiting services using the Parents As Teachers Curriculum
  • Adult Education Classes - GED and English for Speakers of other Languages
  • Parenting Education and Parent Support groups
  • Nutrition and Health Education
  • Transportation, meals and snacks​

Service Hours:

Center Hours Monday- Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM 
Client Service Hours Monday - Thursday 9:00 AM-3:30 PM

Bilingual (Spanish/English) staff is available to assist families with enrollment and participation in program services
