Dear
Visitor:
Welcome to the Maryland Board of Pharmacy web
site. The Maryland Board of Pharmacy sets standards to ensure
the provision of safe, quality medication dispensing for
Maryland citizens.
The Board was established in 1902 through
by-laws that provided the Board with its current operational
framework. Original by-laws included: the rights to hold
meetings, obtain funds, elect officers, and offer
examinations. For over 100 years the Board has hosted
meetings, to which the public is invited to discuss issues and
initiatives, as well as to review the Board ’s progress in
meeting its mission. Public Board meetings usually begin at
9:00 a.m. on the third Wednesday of every month.
