SALARY: $41,074 - $65,568 (Grade 16)

DESCRIPTION: The Compliance Analyst will develop and be responsible for compliance cases at the Maryland Board of Physicians from the initial complaint stage through final disposition and probation. This is a full performance level of work conducting investigations of licensed health care practitioners. This position conducts investigations into allegations which qualify as grounds for charging under The Medical Practice Act of Maryland in order to provide Board members and the Attorney General’s Office with information necessary to determine what action should be taken. Must prepare a prima facie legally sufficient case to present to the Board for charging. Be prepared to work with the Chief of Compliance in pre-charge resolutions of cases.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or university.
Experience: One year of experience conducting investigations in the areas of health care, insurance, medical malpractice or other related investigative experience as defined by Maryland Board of Physicians.
Note: Experience conducting investigations in the area of health care, insurance, medical malpractice or other related investigative experience as defined by the Maryland Board of Physicians may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.
