Maryland Health Disparities Collaborative
 
Objective: Improve health and health care outcomes for racial and ethnic minorities and underserved populations and communities
 
Charge for the Implementation of the Maryland Health Improvement and Disparities Reduction Act of 2012:
 
  • Provide a set of evidence-based options for communities and local health institutions and health plans to consider in establishing effective community health proposals for Health Enterprise Zones.  These options may be made available to applicants for guidance in putting together proposals.
 
 
  • Make recommendations for the format of reporting of efforts on health disparities by hospitals.
