Welcome to the Official Site of the Task Force on Health Care Access and  Reimbursement

Governor Martin O’Malley established the Task Force on Health Care Access and Reimbursement through the passage of Senate Bill 107 during the 2007 Maryland General Assembly’s Legislative Session.

The Task Force will examine a variety of issues related to health care access and provider reimbursement in the State of Maryland.  Key data and trends concerning reimbursement, competition, and uncompensated care will be examined.  The issues and recommendations developed by the Task Force are critical to Maryland’s efforts to implement health care reform and improve access to health care in Maryland.

An interim report on the findings and recommendations of the Task Force will be reported to the Governor and General Assembly on or before December 1, 2007.  A final report will be submitted on or before June 30, 2008.  The Task Force is to be chaired by the Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene.
